Tripp Lite 32-Port Cat5 IP KVM Switch, 1U Rack-Mount, 4+1 User, RJ45, USB, PS/2, Serial
Server rows get crowded quickly when separate consoles are wired to every machine. We built this IP KVM switch to put an entire cabinet of servers under the control of local and remote operators at the same time. It fits into standard rack rails and includes dual power inputs so the switch keeps running if one feed drops.
Price as the listing last showed it. Listings move, so the figure on the page you land on is the one that counts at checkout.
- Up to 5 users (1 Local, 4 Remote) can simultaneously access the connected computers/servers (Compatible with all major operating systems)
- Includes both DVI and VGA console ports for connection of either a DVI or VGA monitor
- Virtual Media allows computers connected to the KVM using a B055-001-USB-V2 SIU to access DVD/CD drives, flash drives and other storage media from a user's remote computer as if it were directly connected
- Dual power supplies allow the unit to continue running in the event one power supply ceases to receive power
- An additional three USB ports are located on the front of the KVM for the sharing of USB peripherals.
How this one is built
Dual power supplies
Two separate power inlets keep the switch operating if one line goes dark. Plug each cord into a different PDU bank to maintain management access across maintenance windows.
Local and remote access
Multiple administrators can log in together, either from the local console desk or over an IP network connection. It works across major operating systems without demanding dedicated client software on every target machine.
Virtual media support
Remote users can mount flash drives, optical drives, and external storage to target servers across the network. Software patches and diagnostic files load directly as though the drive were plugged straight into the rack.
Front peripheral ports
A row of USB connections on the front face lets local operators attach shared flash drives or accessories directly at the rack. Both DVI and VGA display connections sit on the chassis to match your existing bench monitor.
On the nameplate
These are the figures published for this unit. Where a number is missing here it was not printed on the listing, and we would rather leave the row out than fill it with a guess.
