Picking one of these
Match the PDU to the circuit it plugs into, not to the load you happen to have today. Ours are built for 15, 16, 20, 30, 32 and 40 amp feeds, and the plug on the cord is the honest answer to which one you can use. Metered models save an argument later, because the draw is printed on the front instead of guessed at.
The same hardware turns up in more than one kind of room. These are the places this section gets used most:
- At home — A home office runs on the same utility feed as the kettle and the air conditioner, so it sees every sag those cause.
- IT closets — A closet is the densest thing most sites own and the least often opened.
