How this one is built
Solid state transfer
Internal solid state switches handle the changeover between sources quickly enough that connected power supplies stay up. The module draws from the primary feed until it detects an issue, then transfers the load to the secondary line without manual intervention.
Dual corded inputs
Two heavy input cords emerge from the chassis to reach separate utility or generator feeds. Having both lines tied into the same chassis gives single inlet hardware redundant power paths without replacing individual server power supplies.
Local display readout
A digital meter on the front face displays current draw as you rack and balance new hardware. Technicians working in the aisle can verify phase loading directly on the chassis before closing up the cabinet doors.
Network card interface
The built in network card allows remote monitoring of power status and load levels over an Ethernet connection. SNMP support lets facility management platforms collect telemetry alongside the rest of the infrastructure on the floor.
