Tripp Lite 5.76kW Single-Phase ATS/Switched PDU, LX Platform Interface, 208/240V
Single-corded network gear in a busy server rack cannot plug into two wall sources on its own. We built this horizontal unit with an automatic transfer switch and dual input cords to bridge that gap. The unit runs on the primary line and cuts over to the secondary source when that line drops.
Price as the listing last showed it. Listings move, so the figure on the page you land on is the one that counts at checkout.
- 208 30A Auto Transfer Switch / ATS in 2U horizontal rackmount installation format (agency de-rated to 24A continuous)
- Separate primary and secondary L6-30P inputs, each with 10 ft. / 3m line cord
- 19 switched output receptacles (16 C13, 2 C19 & 1 L6-30R)
- Connected equipment is normally powered from the primary input; ATS circuit provides automatic transfer to the secondary power source input within 2-6 milliseconds if primary input power is interrupted
- ATS functionality is available with any two compatible AC power sources, even configurations utilizing separate mains circuits, backup generators and even separate utility power grid feeds are fully supported, regardless of phase angle
How this one is built
Dual input cords
Two separate line cords run out the back to reach distinct AC sources, backup generators or separate utility feeds. The internal switch handles the transfer between them if the main line drops voltage.
Fast source switching
The internal transfer circuit moves the load between inputs in a small fraction of a second. Connected network switches and servers stay running through the cutover without rebooting or dropping their active processes.
Individual outlet control
Each switched outlet can be turned on or off remotely through the built-in network platform card. You can reboot frozen gear without driving to the site, or leave unassigned receptacles powered down until needed.
Horizontal rack mounting
The all-metal housing mounts horizontally between standard cabinet rails. It leaves room above and below for patch panels or cable managers, and keeps the power plugs close to the equipment backplanes.
On the nameplate
These are the figures published for this unit. Where a number is missing here it was not printed on the listing, and we would rather leave the row out than fill it with a guess.
