How this one is built
Vertical rack profile
The tall aluminum chassis fastens into the back of an enclosure without taking up horizontal mounting positions. Hardware mounts directly to the frame uprights, leaving the front rail spaces open for servers, patch panels and network switches.
Unswitched power path
We built this unit without an external on-off power switch to help avoid inadvertent shutdowns during routine cabinet service. Connected hardware stays energized through ongoing maintenance, while an integrated circuit breaker trips if current draw exceeds normal operating limits.
Heavy input cord
The attached power cable brings line voltage from an overhead busway or floor source directly into the cabinet frame. Its heavy-gauge jacket resists abrasion against rail edges, and the molded plug seats firmly into matching wall or floor receptacles.
All-metal chassis
An extruded metal enclosure stands up to daily handling in crowded telecom closets and equipment rooms. The rigid casing shields the internal wiring, resists bending during installation, and dissipates heat through ordinary convective airflow across its exterior surface.
