Foil shielding layer
A continuous foil shield wraps the twisted wire pairs beneath the jacket to block line noise and limit crosstalk. That shielding keeps signals clean when cords lie pressed against one another in a dense network tray.
Power over Ethernet
The copper conductors carry low-voltage operating current right alongside data traffic. That lets you feed security cameras, access control hardware and desk phones through the patch lead without running a separate wall adapter to each spot.
Snagless boot molding
Each end features a molded boot that shields the small plastic locking tab. When you fish the connector through a bundle of existing runs, the tab slides past without catching and snapping off in the rack.
Color coded jacket
The blue jacket stands out clearly inside a packed cabinet or behind a row of desks. Techs can trace drops at a glance during moves and changes without sorting through an undifferentiated mass of gray cords.
