A thinner profile takes up less room in vertical cable managers and leaves space between neighboring patch cords. Air circulates through packed server cabinets instead of getting trapped behind a solid wall of copper.
Snagless boot design
The molded boots cover each locking clip so the plastic tab cannot catch and snap off when pulling lines through a bundle. Built-in strain relief keeps the wire pairs from pulling loose during moves and changes.
Shielded wire pairs
Stranded copper pairs carry shielding against electromagnetic noise and radio frequency interference generated by nearby power supplies or adjacent network drops. Near-end crosstalk stays low along the full path.
Plated contact pins
Gold plating on the modular connector pins resists corrosion and maintains clean metal-to-metal contact over repeated mating cycles. Solid contact pressure keeps signals moving smoothly into switches, patch panels and servers.
