How this one is built
Snagless molded boots
Molded boots guard the plastic release tabs so they do not snap off when you pull the line through a bundle of older cords. The integrated strain relief keeps the plug seated firmly under tension.
Slim shielded jacket
The reduced outer diameter takes up far less volume in tight vertical managers and horizontal trays. Foil shielding guards the twisted copper pairs against electromagnetic noise generated by nearby power runs and heavy switch gear.
Gold-plated contacts
The male plugs carry heavy gold plating over the contact pins to maintain clean surface mating over repeated insertions. That clean contact surface helps reduce near-end crosstalk across the entire run.
High-density airflow
Thick patch cables easily block exhaust paths behind rackmount hardware. Running thinner jacketed cabling opens up space between the switch faces, helping cabinet exhaust move out of the rack frame.
