The reduced cable diameter leaves room for exhaust air to move through crowded rack spaces. It routes through vertical wire managers with less bulk than conventional cordage.
Snagless molded boot
Molded boots cover the connector locking tabs so they do not catch on neighboring cords during pulls. The boot also provides strain relief to keep the conductors seated firmly.
Gold plated contacts
Plated contact pins resist corrosion and maintain solid electrical contact across repeated insertions. Clean mating surfaces keep near-end crosstalk low across high-frequency network runs.
