The boot covers the connector latch so you can fish the head through existing bundles without snapping the clip off. It stays intact through repeated moves across patch panels.
Shielded twisted pairs
An overall shield under the outer jacket guards against electromagnetic noise from nearby power runs and neighboring network drops. Your data packets travel across the link cleanly.
