Snagless tab protection
Molded hoods keep the plastic release tabs from catching on neighboring lines during pulls through crowded raceways. The connector seats firmly in the jack and unlatches cleanly when you need to re-route.
Power over Ethernet
The stranded copper conductors carry both data and operating current to PoE hardware. Security cameras, VoIP phones and access control panels run directly from the switch without separate power supplies at the wall.
Gold plated contacts
Gold plating across the contacts maintains a solid electrical interface inside the port. Clean contact surfaces help limit near-end crosstalk and keep signal clear across everyday patch runs.
Molded strain relief
Molded boots grip the white outer jacket where it enters the plug. That extra support reduces bending stress at the termination point when cables hang down the front of a rack.
