Tripp Lite Modular Serial Adapter
Server cabinets often mix serial management ports with twisted copper runs. We mold this beige adapter to bridge that gap without forcing you to pin out your own cabling on a ladder. It mates cleanly to the hardware port, handles the crossover wiring internally, and frees you to use standard patch runs across the rack.

How this one is built
Molded beige shell
The outer casing takes the strain when patch cables hang from the back of a terminal server. Its beige finish blends with traditional telecom hardware and makes serial paths easy to trace in a crowded drop.
Internal crossover wiring
We pin the internal leads to cross signals correctly for serial server connections. That means standard network patch cords plug straight into the modular jack without rearranging individual conductors by hand.
Slotted thumbscrews
Two slotted screws hold the connector tight against the chassis. You can start the threads with your fingers and finish tightening with a flat blade so the connection does not back out under vibration.
Modular jack interface
The modular port accepts standard terminated twisted copper cabling. Snapping a patch cable in place finishes the link, allowing quick swaps whenever equipment moves to a different shelf in the cabinet.
