Tripp Lite Series High-Speed Armored HDMI Fiber Active Optical Cable (AOC)
Long display runs through drop ceilings and tight conduit put ordinary copper cables under strain. We build this active optical cable with glass fiber inside a crush-resistant jacket so the video signal reaches the far display clean. It draws power right from the source port and needs no external booster box along the line.

How this one is built
Armored outer jacket
Steel armoring under the jacket shields the internal fibers from being crushed in a crowded conduit or pinched behind a heavy display mount. It pulls through wall cavities without flattening the core.
Fiber optical core
Glass strands inside carry the high-speed video data instead of heavy copper wire. That keeps the line light, stops electrical noise from getting into the picture, and holds the signal across a long distance.
Active plug ends
The electronics that convert electrical pulses to light and back again live right inside the cast connector heads. They draw what power they need from the connected gear without an extra wall wart to plug in.
Direct source routing
A single pull links a media player, rack switch, or control deck directly to a remote screen or projector. You skip the extra patch points, baluns, and extension boxes that clutter up an equipment closet.
On the nameplate
These are the figures published for this unit. Where a number is missing here it was not printed on the listing, and we would rather leave the row out than fill it with a guess.
