How this one is built
Shielding and chokes
Tinned copper braid runs over aluminum foil inside the black jacket, backed by molded ferrite chokes. That construction suppresses noise from nearby power bricks and monitors before it enters the data stream.
Twisted conductors
Inside the jacket, twisted wiring carries data lines while separate conductors handle power. The layout maintains throughput for high speed peripherals, audio gear, and storage devices.
Gold plated pins
Gold plating on the contact pins resists corrosion from humidity and repeated plugging. The metal surfaces keep conductivity steady across years of use at the bench.
Molded connector ends
Integral strain relief supports the joints where the cord meets the plugs. The molded boots flex without pinching the internal conductors when you route lines around tight desk corners.
