Tripp Lite USB-A to RJ45 Ethernet Serial Rollover Cable, Cisco Compatible, 250 Kbps
Modern field laptops dropped their legacy serial ports long ago, but network gear still needs console access during configuration. We molded a USB-A connector and an internal FTDI chip directly to this rollover cable. It lets a tech plug straight into a management jack without carrying a separate adapter block.

How this one is built
Molded rollover pinout
The wiring matches standard console port pinouts for Cisco gear. You plug one end into the switch and the other into your laptop without stacking modular couplers or dongles on top of an existing patch run.
Integrated FTDI chipset
An onboard chipset translates the serial connection directly over USB. Drivers handle host communication across Windows, Mac, and Linux systems while pulling operating power straight from the host bus without external power supplies.
Direct terminal connection
The line carries terminal data between your workstation and the network device. It handles standard serial communication speeds for configuration menus, local diagnostics, system updates, and remote wake functions through a terminal window.
Flexible black jacket
We cast the assembly in a durable black jacket with integral strain relief boots behind both ends. The cable coils into a field bag easily and lays flat across a server room floor without binding.

These are the figures published for this unit. Where a number is missing here it was not printed on the listing, and we would rather leave the row out than fill it with a guess.
