Tripp Lite 2200VA Smart Online UPS, 1600W Double-Conversion, 2U Rackmount
Utility lines wander, dip, and drop out without warning. We build this double-conversion UPS to isolate rack equipment from dirty incoming wall power and feed it steady, regenerated electricity. When the mains fail completely, internal batteries step in without a transfer gap, keeping connected hardware up until normal power returns or systems can shut down cleanly.

How this one is built
Double conversion operation
Incoming alternating current converts to direct current, then rebuilds into a clean sine wave before it touches your hardware. Voltage sags and line noise get stripped out in the process, isolating sensitive power supplies from utility grid instability.
Battery capacity and runtime
Internal battery trays pull the load the instant input power drops. For longer outages, you can chain external battery cabinets to the rear connector to stretch runtime until generators catch up or servers complete an orderly shutdown.
Independent load banks
The back panel divides its outlets into separate banks that you can cycle individually. This lets you reboot a locked switch remotely or shed nonessential loads during an extended blackout to keep the core networking gear alive longer.
Management and monitoring ports
Built-in serial and USB ports communicate with host systems, while an emergency power off connection wires into facility shutdown loops. An open accessory slot accepts network management cards for monitoring line conditions and battery health over your local network.
