Tripp Lite 5U Smart Rack, Low Profile, Vertical Mounting
Tight wiring closets and back hallways leave little room for deep server cabinets. We built this low-profile enclosure to hang patch panels and switches vertically against the wall, keeping hardware off the floor and out of walkways. It arrives fully assembled so you can mount it and start dressing cables right away.

How this one is built
Vertical equipment layout
Gear mounts vertically inside the chassis to keep the enclosure flat against the wall. That shallow profile clears narrow hallways, utility rooms and crowded telecom closets where standard depth cabinets block access paths.
Factory assembled frame
The steel housing arrives fully put together out of the carton. You do not have to bolt panels together on site before hanging it on the studs, which saves time on busy installation days.
Cable access openings
Knockout points on the enclosure let you route copper and fiber trunk lines cleanly into the frame. Bundles enter near the patch panels without pinching or tight bend radiuses at the cabinet edges.
Vented steel housing
Perforated panels allow room air to circulate naturally through the interior and wash over switch chassis. Heat escapes through the vents while the steel outer skin shields internal terminations from accidental bumps.
On the nameplate
These are the figures published for this unit. Where a number is missing here it was not printed on the listing, and we would rather leave the row out than fill it with a guess.
