Tripp Lite FireWire 800 IEEE 1394b Hi-Speed Cable (9pin/4pin) 6 Foot / 1.83 Meters
Legacy video capture decks and external drives still rely on FireWire connections for clean data paths. We build this cable with molded gold ends to seat firmly into compatible computer ports and storage enclosures. It runs alongside your existing bench gear to keep older workstations moving files without fuss.

How this one is built
Gold plated contacts
The molded ends carry gold plating to resist corrosion over years of use. They seat into host ports and peripheral jacks with a clean mechanical grip that does not back out under normal desk movement.
Triple layer shielding
Under the outer jacket, three layers of shielding wrap the conductors to keep stray electrical noise off the signal run. This helps maintain clean transfer rates between your computer and external drives.
Broad host compatibility
The pin layout works with older PC motherboards, Mac systems, Sun workstations, and other compliant hardware. It talks directly to original FireWire peripherals without needing special adapters in the line.
Flexible black jacket
The black outer jacket bends neatly around monitor stands and desk legs without kinking. It pulls through cable managers cleanly and lays flat behind the computer tower.
