Tripp Lite PS2408B Heavy Duty Long Metal Silver Power Strip 8 Outlets
Power strips in a busy shop take rough handling from cords, boots, and rolling carts. We build this strip with an all-metal black aluminum housing to handle workbench duty, equipment bays, and laboratory tables. The long format spaces out standard outlets so plugs and bulky adapters sit side by side without crowding.

How this one is built
Black metal housing
An aluminum shell takes the daily bumps and drops of a working shop floor or rack bay. The finish resists scuffs while the rigid channel keeps the strip straight along a table leg or wall stud.
Guarded power switch
A lighted master switch lets you see incoming utility power at a glance. We added a clear flip cover over the rocker so accidental bumps from tools or elbows will not shut off live gear.
Built in circuit breaker
An integrated breaker helps shield connected tools, test instruments, and chargers by opening when the circuit draws more current than rated. The breaker resets with a press once the overload clears.
Hardware for mounting
The included mounting hardware secures the strip horizontally along a backboard or vertically down a cabinet rail. Fastening the chassis down keeps the run stable when pulling heavy cords out.
On the nameplate
These are the figures published for this unit. Where a number is missing here it was not printed on the listing, and we would rather leave the row out than fill it with a guess.
