Heat gathers under the top plate of an enclosure long before the rest of the room warms up. We build this fan tray to drop right into the roof cutouts of our floor racks, drawing that stagnant air up and blowing it out. It runs off a standard wall lead and needs no hand tools to seat in place.

How this one is built
Exhaust at the top
Hot exhaust rises naturally, but crowded gear can trap it near the upper rails. This panel mounts right in the roof opening to pull that trapped warmth straight out through the top of the cabinet.
Cold rolled housing
The frame is heavy gauge cold rolled steel, finished in black to match our standard enclosures. It sits flush in the opening and resists flexing even when the fan motors run through long workdays.
Hardware-free drop
The panel uses mounting tabs that lock directly into the enclosure roof without loose screws or nuts. You set it into position from inside the frame and snap it home by hand.
Direct wall power
A long attached power cord routes down the corner posts to reach a base PDU or a nearby wall outlet. It terminates in a standard grounded plug so you do not need special wiring.
