Tripp Lite SMART5000RT-3U Line Interactive Sine Wave UPS Rack
Utility feeds fluctuate throughout the day, dropping low when heavy equipment spins up and surging when loads drop off. We built this line-interactive UPS to trim those swings back into shape on utility power alone, switching over to pure sine wave battery output during an outage so servers and network switches shut down cleanly.
Price as the listing last showed it. Listings move, so the figure on the page you land on is the one that counts at checkout.
- Large 5000VA/4000W output capacity with full-time sine wave output offers guaranteed compatibility with all equipment types
- High power density 5kVA power module and battery pack occupy only 3 rack spaces(3U) each(UPS and battery pack require 6U total installed)
- 38 min. half load runtime, expandable with multiple external battery packs BP48V24-2U(limit 1), BP48V60RT-3U(multi-pack compatible) and BP48V27-2US(multi-pack compatible)
- Line-interactive voltage regulation corrects severe brownouts and overvoltages without using battery power
- 2-year warranty, 3 year with registration. Note: Registration is required for 3-year warranty.
How this one is built
Line-interactive voltage correction
The internal transformer adjusts high and low utility voltage without draining the cells. Power sags and overvoltages get trimmed back into operational tolerances, reserving the battery reserve for times when line power drops completely.
True sine wave output
Active power factor corrected supplies in modern network hardware demand a smooth waveform. Our inverter generates true sine wave output on battery, keeping sensitive switches and storage arrays running smoothly without unexpected drops.
Expandable battery runtime
The internal pack gives servers time to execute an orderly shutdown. For sites that need extended runtime across long outages, external battery cabinets connect directly to the rear panel to carry the connected load longer.
Rackmount chassis
Built to bolt into standard equipment racks alongside the gear it feeds. The heavy metal housing supports the internal transformer and battery weight, with a black finish that matches standard data closet hardware.
On the nameplate
These are the figures published for this unit. Where a number is missing here it was not printed on the listing, and we would rather leave the row out than fill it with a guess.
