Tripp Lite SMART500RT1UN 500VA 1U Rackmount UPS Network Card 300W AVR
Line voltage wobbles well before the utility drops out entirely. We build this rackmount backup to trim high voltage and boost brownouts back into line without draining the battery. When utility power cuts out completely, the internal cells step in so network hardware and small telecom stacks can shut down cleanly.

- Rack-mount UPS offers complete power protection for small network applications incl. telecom/security and digital signage
- Protects equipment against blackouts/brownouts/overvoltages/surges/line noise
- Maintains continuous 120V nominal output during brownouts/overvoltages
- Keeps AC power running during blackouts to allow for safe shutdown
How this one is built
Automatic voltage correction
Incoming AC wanders throughout the working day. Internal transformers step voltage up during brownouts and trim it back down during surges, feeding steady nominal power to connected hardware without switching over to the internal cells.
Battery reserve for shutdowns
When the wall goes dark, the internal battery takes the load immediately. That bridge gives routers, security controllers, and small servers the minutes they need to finish writes, close files, and power down without an abrupt drop.
Network card interface
A dedicated slot accepts our network card for remote monitoring over the local network. You can check battery health, track incoming line conditions, and manage shutdown routines from a web browser without visiting the equipment closet.
Rack enclosure mounting
Built in a black metal housing that slides into standard four-post or two-post frames alongside switches and patch panels. The shallow depth leaves plenty of room behind the unit for cable management and exhaust airflow.
On the nameplate
These are the figures published for this unit. Where a number is missing here it was not printed on the listing, and we would rather leave the row out than fill it with a guess.
