Tripp Lite SMART550USB 550VA 300W UPS Battery Back Up Tower AVR 120V USB RJ11, 6 Outlets
Utility lines wander throughout the workday. We built this mini-tower to sit under a desk, correct low and high incoming voltage, and switch to internal battery power when line feed cuts out. It leaves you enough time to save open files and shut down your computer cleanly.

How this one is built
Voltage correction hardware
Internal circuitry boosts low voltage and trims high line levels back toward normal without draining the battery. The battery stays fresh for outages instead of wearing down from daily brownouts.
Divided outlet banks
Outlets on the back are split between battery support with surge suppression and surge-only positions. Heavy peripherals that do not need battery runtime go into the surge-only bank to preserve power for the main tower.
Data line pass through
Built-in jacks on the rear panel accept incoming telephone and DSL lines. This gives the copper run the same transient surge suppression as the wall receptacles before the signal reaches your modem or router.
USB system connection
A rear communication port links the unit directly to your workstation. Using our downloadable PowerAlert software, your operating system receives shutdown commands automatically if an outage outlasts the battery run.
