How this one is built
Transformer spacing
The outlet at the far end sits apart from the rest of the row. That leaves room for a wide wall wart without covering the adjacent socket, so you can use the rest of the strip for standard cords.
Extended cord reach
A long power cord stretches from the wall plate behind heavy furniture out to the workspace where gear actually sits. The heavy jacket holds up along baseboards and under desk runs.
Line noise suppression
Internal components filter out electromagnetic and radio frequency interference that travels across building wiring. Cleaning up that line noise helps connected electronics run with less audio hum and fewer unexpected glitches.
Status light indicator
A green LED on the housing shows that surge suppression components are active and operational. Keyhole mounting slots on the back panel let you hang the housing flat against a wall or workbench leg.
