How this one is built
Direct plug housing
The unit plugs straight into a wall receptacle without a power cord trailing across the floor. Its small cube profile fits inside a travel bag, brief case or work tote so it can move between jobsites.
Telephone line jacks
Built-in modular jacks accept standard telephone and modem cabling. Spikes can travel along communication wiring just as easily as power wiring, so routing the line through the cube suppresses transients before they reach connected equipment.
Status indicator light
A built-in diagnostic light stays lit to show that suppression circuitry is active on the incoming circuit. If a severe transient compromises the internal components, the light turns off to tell you the unit needs replacement.
Line noise attenuation
Internal filtering components quiet electromagnetic and radio frequency interference that rides along standard utility lines. This helps keep digital equipment, modems and laptop power bricks running with clean incoming alternating current.
