How this one is built
Glass core build
Singlemode fiber carries light down a narrow core to support double the bandwidth throughput of typical multimode glass. The strand design helps keep attenuation loss down over extended cabinet-to-cabinet spans.
Mismatched end connectors
An LC connector on one end pairs with an SC connector on the other. Both terminations seat cleanly into their respective optical transceivers or bulkheads with positive latching.
Riser rated outer jacket
The yellow PVC jacket carries an OFNR rating for vertical runs between building levels in non-plenum paths. The flexible outer skin pulls smoothly through cable management arms and vertical raceways.
Factory polished ends
Each fiber termination is factory prepared to reduce insertion loss and back reflection at the bulkhead. Dust caps protect the polished ceramic ferrules until you are ready to seat them.
