Line sags and surges pull power away from nominal operating range. The internal transformer trims high voltage and boosts low line conditions back into spec without draining the reserve battery, preserving cell life for actual outages.
Power saving outlets
The unit includes dedicated outlets that cut idle power to peripherals when the primary computer goes to sleep or turns off. This stops connected accessories from pulling phantom draw while the desk sits empty overnight.
Data line pass through
Surge suppression on the network and phone jacks covers the copper line running into your modem, router, or telephone. It absorbs transient voltage spikes that travel along communication cabling before they reach your hardware ports.
Serviceable battery compartment
When the internal cell eventually tires after years of service, the compartment opens for a straightforward replacement. You can swap in a fresh battery pack yourself rather than replacing the entire chassis and redoing your cable runs.
