How this one is built
Offset launch core
A precision offset splice aligns the single-mode launch away from the center of the multimode fiber core. This mitigates differential mode delay across older building glass.
Connector hardware
LC connectors on one side plug directly into high-density optical transceivers, while ST bayonet terminations lock into legacy distribution panels on the other.
Jacket construction
Color-coded jackets distinguish the single-mode lead from the multimode leg of the harness. The outer sleeving resists snags when pulled through packed vertical wire managers.
Backbone deployment
Use this assembly in network closets where re-pulling structured glass is impractical. It lets existing riser fiber carry signals from newer network switches.
