Tripp Lite Industrial Heavy-Duty Network Copper Ethernet to Fiber Optic SFP Transceiver Media
Plant floors and outdoor runs create electrical noise that degrades standard copper lines. This converter links your twisted pair drop to an optical transceiver module, sending data down glass across long distances. It clips onto standard DIN rail right where your machinery operates.

- EXTENDS NETWORK CONNECTION OVER FIBER OPTIC CABLE: Extends 10/100/1000 Mbps Gigabit Ethernet network connection over fiber optic cable using your choice of SFP transceiver. Automatic MDI/MDI-X configuration connects devices without crossover cabling.
- MONITOR YOUR INSTALLATION: LEDs indicate connection, statuses, and data transfer speed. Local Loop Back (LLB) functions ensure copper and fiber cables have been correctly installed. DIP switches control each function and turn them on or off.
- BUILT TO WITHSTAND INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH HAZARDS: Operating temperature range of -40° to 75°C or -40° to 167°F. Protected from electrostatic discharge (ESD), radio frequency interference (RFI) and power surges. DIN mounting hardware included.
- COMPLIANT PRODUCTS FOR GOVERNMENT BUSINESSES: Compliant with the Federal Trade Agreements Act (TAA) for GSA Schedule purchases.
- RELIABLE PRODUCT FULLY BACKED AND SUPPORTED: This product is covered by a 2-Year Limited Warranty and is supported by Tripp Lite's Chicago-based expert technical support team over phone and email.
How this one is built
Industrial metal housing
We build the enclosure to handle wide temperature swings, static discharge, and power line noise. It fastens to standard DIN rails or mounts flat on cabinet walls inside dusty factory enclosures.
Open transceiver slot
An open transceiver bay accepts your choice of optical module. You match the glass and wavelength to your existing plant infrastructure without swapping out the base converter unit.
Diagnostic status lights
Banked indicators show link activity, line speed, and port state at a glance. Built in loop back testing helps you verify both the copper drop and the optical strand during setup.
Automatic line detection
The copper Ethernet port senses connection speed and adjusts for straight through or crossover patch cables on its own. Small switches let you set operating modes without opening the case.
On the nameplate
These are the figures published for this unit. Where a number is missing here it was not printed on the listing, and we would rather leave the row out than fill it with a guess.
