Tripp Lite Industrial Heavy-Duty Network Copper Ethernet to Fiber Optic Unmanaged SFP

Factory floors and utility rooms throw electrical noise that drops copper runs cold. This unmanaged media converter bridges an RJ connection to optical glass through an open SFP slot. It mounts on a DIN rail or flat against a wall, powered by a terminal block built for harsh plant environments.

  • EXTENDS NETWORK CONNECTION OVER FIBER OPTIC CABLE: Extends 10/100/1000 Mbps Gigabit Ethernet network connection over fiber optic cable using your choice of SFP transceiver. Automatic MDI/MDI-X configuration connects devices without crossover cabling.
  • MONITOR YOUR INSTALLATION: LEDs on the side of the unit indicate essential information, including network speed, connection status and unit power. The included 12–57VDC terminal block provides primary and secondary power inputs.
  • BUILT TO WITHSTAND INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH HAZARDS: Operating temperature range of -40° to 75°C or -40° to 167°F. Protected from electrostatic discharge (ESD), radio frequency interference (RFI) and power surges. Wall & DIN mounting hardware included.
  • COMPLIANT PRODUCTS FOR GOVERNMENT BUSINESSES: Compliant with the Federal Trade Agreements Act (TAA) for GSA Schedule purchases.
  • RELIABLE PRODUCT FULLY BACKED AND SUPPORTED: This product is covered by a 2-Year Limited Warranty and is supported by Tripp Lite's Chicago-based expert technical support team over phone and email.
What it does

How this one is built

Hardened metal housing

The black metal shell handles plant heat and cold while shrugging off electrostatic discharge and radio interference. It mounts directly to standard DIN rail or fastens flat to an equipment panel with the supplied hardware.

Fiber transceiver slot

The open SFP port accepts your choice of optical module to match the reach and wavelength of your plant run. It takes network traffic from copper wire and sends light pulses across long distances without signal degradation.

Terminal block power

A terminal block connector accepts primary and redundant secondary direct-current feeds. Dual inputs keep the link running if one supply branch drops out during maintenance or circuit shifts across the building.

Status indicator bank

Diagnostic LEDs lined up on the housing show link status, port speed, and incoming power feeds. You can walk the row and see whether the optical link has carrier without pulling out a meter.

On the nameplate

These are the figures published for this unit. Where a number is missing here it was not printed on the listing, and we would rather leave the row out than fill it with a guess.
