Tripp Lite Multimode Fiber Optic to RJ45 Ethernet, PoE+ 48 VDC, 10/100/1000 Mbps, LC Connectors
A camera out on a pole or an access point tucked into a high ceiling still needs a feed and power. This media converter takes light off multimode fiber and hands off Gigabit traffic over copper, sending direct current down the line so the remote device does not need an AC receptacle nearby.

- EXTENDS NETWORK CONNECTION OVER FIBER OPTIC CABLE: Extends both power (48 VDC) and 10/100/1000 Mbps Gigabit Ethernet up to 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) using Cat5e/6 cabling via SC multimode fiber optic cable (1310 nm).
- POWER OVER ETHERNET: Provide power and data to PoE and PoE+ devices. Saves you the expense and effort of purchasing, connecting and installing individual power supplies for each device. It also helps you install PoE devices in areas far away from AC outlets, such as poles or ceilings.
- MONITOR YOUR INSTALLATION: Features automatic network speed sensing, full/half-duplex auto-detection and automatic MDI/MDIX configuration. Six LEDs indicate the converter’s power, PoE, Ethernet network and fiber link statuses at a glance. Link fault pass through (LFP) monitors both the SC and RJ45 ports to ensure link status remains active.
- EASY TO USE: Set up with no software or drivers required. The included power supply comes with four international power cables (North America, Europe, United Kingdom, Australia) for connecting to an AC outlet with no computer or other signal source needed.
- RELIABLE PRODUCT FULLY BACKED AND SUPPORTED: This product is covered by a 2-Year Limited Warranty and is supported by Tripp Lite's Chicago-based expert technical support team over phone and email.
How this one is built
Inline power delivery
Sends DC power and Ethernet data over the same twisted pair run to your remote hardware. You mount the camera or access point where it belongs without hiring someone to pull high-voltage wiring to a raw ceiling space or an exterior pole.
Glass to copper conversion
Converts an incoming optical signal over multimode glass to an RJ connection without sacrificing throughput. It handles speed sensing and crossover negotiation on its own, so the drop behaves like any standard link on your network.
Status monitoring LEDs
Status lights across the front show power, fiber link activity and Ethernet traffic at a glance. Built-in link fault pass through watches both ends of the run, signaling the far side if one connection drops so you are not troubleshooting in the dark.
External power supply
Plugs straight into wall power with the included adapter and regional line cords. You set the unit on a shelf or mount it near the distribution panel with no software, drivers or configuration steps to hold up the job.
