Tripp Lite Network Copper RJ45 Ethernet to Fiber LC Duplex Multimode Extender Converter
Copper patch runs run out of steam when you need to bridge separate buildings or push past the standard distance limit of twisted pair. This media converter takes your standard Ethernet drop and translates it to light over multimode fiber. It sits quietly on a shelf or mounts nearby to keep the link moving.

How this one is built
Duplex fiber interface
The duplex optical port accepts standard multimode patch cords to carry traffic over longer distances. Glass avoids the electrical noise and grounding differences that plague long copper runs between separate distribution frames.
Copper Ethernet port
The RJ jack handles your standard twisted pair patch cord and senses line speed on its own. It handles duplex negotiation automatically so you spend less time configuring switch ports on either side of the link.
Diagnostic light bank
Status indicators across the front show link state, activity and duplex mode at a glance. You can see immediately whether both ends of the media conversion see traffic without digging through management consoles.
Compact metal housing
We build the chassis out of solid metal with a black finish to handle tight telecom closets and crowded network shelves. It stays grounded and dissipates heat through the casing without taking up valuable rack room.
